Dental Care
If left untreated, dental disease can negatively impact your pet’s health. Dental disease can negatively affect your pet’s organs via systemic inflammation and infection in addition to causing them chronic pain, difficulty eating, and bad breath. As such, we evaluate your pet’s mouth at each visit to evaluate for indications of dental disease. If indicated, a comprehensive oral health evaluation is performed under anesthesia and an individual oral healthcare maintenance plan can then be formulated. Possible interventions include:
- Professional dental cleaning under anesthesia
- Digital dental radiography
- Periodontal evaluation and treatment
- Simple and surgical tooth extractions
Dental conditions we treat include:
- Retained primary teeth
- Fractured teeth
- Dental tartar and calculus removal
- Gingivitis and periodontal disease
- Feline tooth resorption and stomatitis
- Gingival hyperplasia
- Gingival masses
- Oronasal fistula repair
