    Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) is relatively new to the Western World but has been used in China to treat animals for thousands of years. TCVM is often viewed as a form of complementary therapy and is best when used in conjunction with Western Veterinary Medicine (WVM). TCVM is a holistic approach that is suited to assessing the wellbeing of the whole patient, and treatments are generally non-invasive with few side effects. At Murrysville Veterinary Associates, we do an individual TCVM evaluation and create a treatment plan from there. Services include:

    • Dry needle acupuncture
    • Aquapuncture
    • Electroacupuncture
    • Herbal medicine

Dr. Miller is a member of the American Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and is working on her Masters in TCVM. She trained in acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Florida and will become a CVA (Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist) in the spring of 2017.
